* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Warning, one to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 1 to 7 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Atlantic Coastal Cape May and Coastal Atlantic.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening.

* IMPACTS...At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant beach erosion is expected. Breaching of sand dunes is possible.

What to do: A Coastal Flood Warning means that moderate or major tidal flooding is occurring or imminent. Be prepared for rising water levels and take appropriate action to protect life and property. Follow the recommendations of local emergency management officials.

Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

Always obey posted Beach Flags. If you enter the surf zone, always have a floatation device with you and swim near a lifeguard if possible. If caught in a rip current, relax and float and do not swim against the current. If able, swim parallel to the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Rt. 47 / the Garden State Parkway approach and the boardwalk cross-streets back up on summer weekend afternoons, especially near Morey's Piers. Metered street parking fills early on nice days — municipal lots are the safer bet.

No beach tags needed in Wildwood, North Wildwood or Wildwood Crest.

Sightseer Tram Car

Runs the 2-mile boardwalk from 16th Ave in North Wildwood to Cresse Ave, from noon until the piers close, May through the season. $5 one way.

Friday night fireworks
